Barrie, ON – Downtown Barrie is buzzing with excitement as we approach the festive season’s grand kickoff with the Noella Tree Lighting Celebration! Join us on Saturday, November 16, and Sunday, November 17, as Meridian Place becomes a holiday wonderland filled with entertainment, local artisans, and festive cheer. This year’s celebration, in partnership with the Barrie Chamber Santa Claus Parade, Rotary Festival of Trees, and the City of Barrie’s festive decor and fireworks, promises a weekend of unforgettable holiday magic.

Saturday Downtown Tree Lighting Festivities Kick Off at 1PM and the Chamber Santa Claus Parade @ 5PM

Starting at 1 PM, families can enjoy themed inflatables, ornament crafting stations, and a Festive Tree Lot supporting Hospice Simcoe. At 5 PM, the Chamber Santa Claus Parade rolls through downtown, offering the best views along the main route, followed by a breathtaking fireworks display at 7 PM.

Live Entertainment to Spark the Holiday Spirit – DogHouse Orchestra headlines!

Headlining the festivities is DogHouse Orchestra, taking the Meridian Stage at 6:30 PM on Saturday with their unique fusion of gospel, jazz, funk, and country. Kicking off the event are local singer songwriters Rebekah Hawker and B Knox and a local favourite, Choir Revolution, will lead sing-alongs, spreading festive cheer throughout downtown. James Gray at 5 PM, will be ushering in the Santa Claus Parade with his soulful folk melodies. 

Sunday Festive Market & Tree Lot

Return on Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM for the Festive Market featuring over 20 local artisan vendors. Find unique, locally made gifts and holiday trees, with proceeds supporting Hospice Simcoe.

Event Highlights:

• Saturday Family Fun: Family activities kick off at 1 PM, with crafts, inflatables, and more.
• Chamber Santa Claus Parade: Parade begins at 5 PM in Downtown Barrie.
• Live Music: DogHouse Orchestra, James Gray, Choir Revolution, Rebekah Hawker and B Knox lead a musical celebration.
• Fireworks Show: Lighting up Downtown Barrie at 6:30 PM.
• Sunday Festive Market & Tree Lot: Artisan vendors and holiday trees from 10 AM to 4 PM.
