One Final Troubadour Saturday: Tim Hicks Headlines the 2026 Summer Finale

From family programming and emerging Canadian artists to a free evening concert in Meridian Place, here’s how to experience the final Troubadour Festival on Saturday, September 12

Barrie, ON – The stage is set for one final Troubadour Saturday.

Following this week’s announcement of the full-day festival experience, Troubadour Festival presented by Paul Sadlon Motors returns to Downtown Barrie this Saturday, September 12, with programming beginning at 10 AM and building toward an 8:30 PM headline performance by Tim Hicks in Meridian Place hosted by CTV’s Senior Anchor Sarah Freemark and Pure Country 106’s Stan Musial.

From family programming and local vendors to an afternoon of emerging Canadian music, the final Local Opener Showcase, Mitch Zorn and Tim Hicks, something is happening throughout the day.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12 | DOWNTOWN BARRIE

10:00 AM – Festival Vendors Open

Start the day downtown as Downtown Barrie BIA business vendors and Brightside Collective vendors open along Dunlop Street.

Shop local, explore downtown businesses and grab something to eat before the day’s performances begin.

10:30 AM – Troubadour Treehouse | Hey Bootsy Read-Along

The Troubadour Treehouse starts the day with Story Time featuring a read-along with Downtown Barrie’s Hey Bootsy.

A family-friendly start to the final Troubadour Festival of the summer.

TROUBADOUR STREET STAGE – Dunlop Street

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Errol Lee Caring Concerts

Music, movement and plenty of audience participation. Errol Lee brings his high-energy children’s performance to the Street Stage for an interactive show the whole family can enjoy.

12:15 PM – 12:45 PM | Dess Jour

Italian-Canadian singer-songwriter Dess Jour blends emotional storytelling, contemporary pop and her cultural roots for the next performance of the afternoon.

2:40 PM – 3:10 PM | Delyn Grey

Toronto alternative-rock artist Delyn Grey brings a fearless mix of garage rock, grunge and R&B to Downtown Barrie.

3:20 PM – 4:00 PM | Harley Olivia 

Harley Olivia closes out the Street Stage with an unplugged-ish performance pairing infectious melodies and powerhouse vocals with her energetic Toronto alt-rock sound.

FREE TRANSIT TO THE FINALE | 4:00 PM – MIDNIGHT

Getting downtown for the final Troubadour Festival just got easier.

The City of Barrie is providing FREE Barrie Transit shuttle service from 4 PM until midnight, giving festival-goers another way to get to and from Downtown Barrie for the evening performances.

Leave the driving behind, take the free shuttle downtown and enjoy the final Troubadour concert of the summer.

TROUBADOUR MAIN STAGE | MERIDIAN PLACE

5:00 PM – Local Opener Showcase

The final Local Opener Showcase of 2026 brings three Canadian acts to the Meridian Place stage:

Evan Denley – Folk-country songwriting built around honest, stripped-back storytelling and an intimate live sound.

Candace & Michael – The husband-and-wife duo bring blended harmonies, cinematic songwriting and more than 4.6 million streams to the Troubadour stage.

Barstool Confession – Barrie’s own country-rock band comes home to the big stage after sharing bills with artists including Sam Roberts Band, The Glorious Sons, The Trews, Goo Goo Dolls, Big Sugar and Texas King.

7:30 PM – Mitch Zorn

Canadian country artist Mitch Zorn takes the stage at 7:30 PM, setting up the final headline performance of the Troubadour Festival season.

8:30 PM – Tim Hicks

Then it’s time for Tim Hicks.

The platinum-selling, multi-time CCMA Award winner and JUNO Award nominee closes Troubadour Festival 2026 with the high-energy live show that has made him one of Canadian country music’s most recognizable performers.

Expect a crowd ready to sing along to favourites including “Get By,” “Stronger Beer,” “No Truck Song,” “Loud” and more as Hicks brings the final Troubadour Saturday home.

ONE FINAL SATURDAY

From The Road Hammers in June to The Watchmen in July, Bahamas in August and now Tim Hicks in September, Troubadour Festival has filled Downtown Barrie with Canadian music all summer long.
