The Downtown BIA is pleased to announce it has hired its next Executive Director, Kelly McKenna!

Kelly brings an absolutely unmatched skill-set in:

Small businesses
- Started her own small business, bought into an existing businesses and helped it grow, & has worked in a professional capacity as a Small Business Consultant at the former Business Enterprise Resource Network in the Barrie office to support aspiring business owners in creating their own success stories

Politics & stakeholder relations
- Former Executive Assistant to former Barrie MPP Rod Jackson, she has incredible experience with government policy, lobbying, stakeholder management, connecting with the right people to get the right results

The Economic Development experience that our downtown needs
- Working to support some of the biggest industry employers in her current role as an Economic Development Officer for the County of Simcoe, as well as the smaller hidden gems in our community

Kelly will be winding down operations at the County, and is excited to lead the Downtown BIA as its first trilingual Executive Director.

This is an absolutely GAME-CHANGER for downtown #Barrie!
