Terra Lightfoot Headlines an Unforgettable Canada Day Celebration in Downtown Barrie

Barrie, ON – One of Canada’s most celebrated rock artists is coming to Downtown Barrie this Canada Day.

Headlining the Open Air Dunlop Canada Day Celebration is Terra Lightfoot, a JUNO Award-nominated singer-songwriter and one of Canada’s most captivating live performers, having toured internationally alongside artists including Willie Nelson, Blue Rodeo, Bruce Cockburn, and The Sheepdogs. Following the acclaimed success of Healing Power, she’s embarking on a new musical chapter with her intimate 2025 album Home Front, showcasing a more personal, roots-inspired sound while continuing to earn praise as one of Canada’s premier rock and blues artists. Terra Lightfoot will close out an incredible day of celebration with a high-energy concert beginning at 8:30 PM in Heritage Park before the skies light up over Kempenfelt Bay with Barrie’s spectacular Canada Day fireworks.

From morning until night, Downtown Barrie will once again become the heart of Canada Day celebrations as Open Air Dunlop welcomes families, friends, and visitors for a full day of free entertainment, interactive activities, community traditions, and live performances along the waterfront and downtown core.

Whether you’re spending the afternoon with the kids, challenging a Barrie Rover on the soccer pitch, cheering on local wrestling, enjoying live music, or gathering for fireworks over Kempenfelt Bay, there’s something for every generation to enjoy.

10:00 AM

Canada Day Kids Zone Opens (until 8:00 PM)
Bounce into the day with inflatables, roaming stilt walkers, hands-on art activities, and family fun all day long.

Barrie Skate Association
Watch incredible skateboarding demonstrations, open skating, and competitions on Dunlop Street West. (Runs until 5:00 PM)

New To You Vintage Market – Dunlop Street East

10 vintage vendors anchored by Downtown Barrie’s On The Mark Vintage Store showcasing the very best vintage clothing around. (Runs until 8pm)

Brightside Collective Market – Dunlop Street East

The action begins as local wrestling stars battle for Canada Day bragging rights.
