Free Outdoor Movie Night Comes to Meridian Place on Wednesday, July 22

Barrie, ON – Grab your lawn chair, pack a cozy blanket, and gather your favourite movie companions—because another unforgettable night under the stars is almost here.

The Downtown Barrie BIA is excited to welcome families, friends, and Disney fans of all ages to the second installment of the Lawnchair Luminata Outdoor Movie Series on Wednesday, July 22 (Rain Date: Thursday, July 23) in Meridian Place.

As the sun sets and the stars begin to shine, the big screen will come to life with Disney’s Lilo & Stitch (2025)—a heartwarming live-action reimagining of the beloved classic that celebrates family, friendship, and finding where you belong.

Admission is free, making it the perfect way to spend a summer evening in the heart of Downtown Barrie.

“There’s something magical about watching a movie outdoors with the community gathered together,” said Richard Tremblay, Director,  Downtown Barrie BIA and owner of 7 Elements Wealth Planning. “Whether you’re introducing Lilo & Stitch to a new generation or reliving a favourite story, Lawnchair Luminata is all about creating memorable summer nights in Downtown Barrie.”

Moviegoers are encouraged to arrive early, find the perfect spot in Meridian Place, visit one of Downtown Barrie’s restaurants or cafés beforehand, or grab a sweet treat to enjoy during the show. The movie will begin at dusk (approximately 9:00–9:30 PM).
