The Barrie Farmer’s Market is moving indoors on October 31st
Thursday, October 29, 2026
The Barrie Farmer’s Market hosted their last outdoor market of the 2026 season this past Saturday (Oct 24th):
“Today is our last day outside with the Barrie Farmer’s Market. To celebrate, we are hosting our Vendor Chili Cook Off. We have six vendors that are competing for first, second and third place. They have all brought their own unique recipes to the table, and we are selling flights of chili! The funds raised from the chili sales will be reinvested back into future Farmer’s Market events.
We will move indoors into the City Hall Rotunda on October 31st for our Halloween market. We will have a pumpkin carving contest and a costume contest.
It’s always important to support our local farmers and makers, that’s what keeps the farmer’s market alive. Coming to see us indoors during the fall and winter months is pretty special because the Rotunda is the brick and mortar storefront for around 20+ local small businesses. And we have farmers that still produce products into the winter season.
Our outdoor season this year was phenomenal! We saw record numbers, especially in conjunction with Open Air Dunlop and Troubadour Festival Saturdays. We always have incredible vendors and we have FREE PARKING on the weekends in Downtown Barrie! It was a really good year. As market manager and being a downtown small business owner myself (@ohbeehivebarrie), I understand the importance of getting feet through the market to purchase local, support our local farmers and artisans and encourage shoppers to visit our lovely Downtown before and after they stop by the Barrie Farmer’s Market.
We hope to see you next October 31st for some Halloween fun inside City Hall!”
