Downtown Barrie Rolls Out a Full Day of Family Fun for Canada Day 2025 – Live shows, kids entertainment, and wrestling action make July 1st unforgettable

Barrie, ON – The Downtown Barrie BIA is excited to share more details about its 2025 Canada Day Celebration, taking place Tuesday, July 1st in Downtown Barrie. While the evening will heat up with a headlining performance by Ryan Langdon and fireworks over Kempenfelt Bay, the daytime programming is jam-packed with all-ages excitement that makes this an unmissable experience for the entire family.
From 10:00 AM onward, Dunlop Street from Mulcaster to Maple will be pedestrian-only, setting the stage for a festival-style atmosphere featuring patios, local vendors, artists, and live performances. At the heart of it all is Meridian Place, where the energy and celebration will carry through from morning to night.
🎪 Kiwanis Club of Barrie Kids Zone – 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Families can head to the Kids Zone in Meridian Place, proudly hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Barrie, for a variety of free and interactive entertainment.
🌟 Live shows include:
- Zoo To You – Meet and learn about exotic animals up close in an exciting educational performance.
- The Juggling Chef – A crowd-favourite interactive comedy show that mixes culinary flair with acrobatic juggling.
- With hands-on games, crafts, and surprise guests, the Kids Zone will be a hub of activity for children and families all day long.
🤼 Canada Day Cup – Annual Wrestling Challenge
Back by popular demand, the Canada Day Cup brings high-energy, family-friendly wrestling action to downtown. Organized by local wrestling enthusiasts and featuring regional talent, the event adds a unique spectacle to the day’s programming that’s fun for all ages.
🎤 Ryan Langdon Live in Concert – 8:15 PM at Meridian Place
Canadian country powerhouse Ryan Langdon headlines this year’s Canada Day celebration with a high-octane, crowd-pleasing set of country anthems and heartfelt hits. Known for tracks like “Lit In The Sticks”, “Crossfaded”, and “Country Like You”, Langdon brings over 8 million global streams and four Top 40 Canadian Country radio hits to the stage—making this a can’t-miss concert event that will light up the waterfront before the fireworks.
