Did you know Downtown Barrie is serving up one of the best patio experiences in the province? With sun-soaked rooftop lounges, breezy waterfront views, and bustling sidewalk patios, we’re dishing out the ultimate outdoor vibe—and we’re on a mission to become Ontario’s patio capital! 

This summer, we’re inviting the Barrie community to experience the flavour and fun of our 25+ downtown patios through the 2025 KoolFM Patio Appy Hour! More than just dining spaces, these patios help turn our downtown into a safer, more social, and family-friendly destination.

In partnership with KoolFM, Downtown Barrie will spotlight a different patio every Wednesday evening from June 11 to August 27, between 5 PM and 8 PM. Each week, a featured patio will offer a unique “Appy Hour” menu item, and the first 10 patio guests will receive a $5 Downtown Barrie Gift Card to use toward any food item of their choice. 

And don’t forget to check out retail patios too—perfect for a quick break, a browse, and maybe a surprise find or two!
