Downtown Barrie BIA Launches Lifeline E-Gift Card Program in Support of Downtown Businesses
Businesses big and small are facing uncertain times.
Particularly hard hit are the smaller, local, hard working business owners that have had to temporarily close their doors to protect our community and #FlattenTheCurve.
During these challenging times, the Downtown Barrie Business Association (BIA) is encouraging our Barrie community to support and shop local in a new, safe and responsible way!
The Downtown Barrie Lifeline E-Gift Card Program offers shoppers an easy way to buy online gift cards for their favourite Downtown Barrie retail shops, beauty salons, restaurants, cafes and more! Buy an E-Gift Card for yourself and enjoy it later or send one to your friend, team mate, staff, anyone you are thinking of during these social distancing times! You can even stock up for birthday gifts and, dare we say, Christmas.
Here’s how it works:
Head to downtownbarrie.ca, look for the Purchase E-Gift Card Here button and select the business you’d like to support in the dropdown menu. Your E-Gift Card is available in denominations of $25, $50, $100, $250 or $500. You will receive an email confirmation that will act as a record of the E-Gift Card purchase and its amount. E-Card Card purchases will be honoured by the participating Downtown Business you choose to support.
Participating in the program comes at no cost to businesses and they will be receiving 100% of the funds from the E-Gift Card purchases. Please help us spread the word on this opportunity to #SupportLocal in a safe and responsible way. You’ll be helping keep our vibrant downtown alive during these unprecedented times.

If you're a downtown Barrie business within the BIA boundary and you haven't yet signed up, it's not too late! Participating in the program will come at no cost to your business and you will receive 100% of the funds from each E-Gift Card purchased for your business. The Downtown Barrie Business Association (BIA) will be acting as a facilitator of this program and the businesses will be responsible for honouring the certificates.
