Barrie Waste Collection

There will be NO garbage, organics, recycling and yard waste collection in the City of Barrie on Christmas Day (Tues Dec 25th)-- Collection will occur ONE day later for the remainder of the week. There will also be NO garbage, organics, recycling and yard waste collection on New Years' Day (Tues Jan 1st) -- Collection will occur ONE day later for the remainder of the week. Christmas Tree Collection

Weekly collection of Christmas trees in all collection areas will occur throughout January. Trees must be free of ornaments and tree stands. Trees placed curbside in plastic bags will not be collected. Please ensure that your tree is not buried or frozen in a snowbank.

There is no yard waste/Christmas Tree collection during the months of February and March.

Closed on Christmas Day (Tues Dec 25th), Boxing Day (Wed Dec 26th), along with New Years Day (Mon Jan 1st).

Barrie Public Library

Closed  at 1pm on Christmas Eve (Mon Dec 24th), all day Christmas Day (Tues Dec 25th), all day Boxing Day (Wed Dec 26th); along with at 1pm on New Years Eve (Mon Dec 31st)  and all day on  New Years Day (Tues Jan 1st). Click here for more details.

Closed at noon on Christmas Eve (Mon Dec 24th), all day Christmas Day (Tues Dec 25th), all day Boxing Day (Wed Dec 26th); along with noon on New Years Eve (Mon Dec 31st)  and all day New Years Day (Tues Jan 1st). Click here for more details.
