BE A DOWNTOWN HERO! 🦸🏼♀️ 🦸🏽♂️
The Downtown Barrie Business Association (BIA) has officially launched its Downtown Heroes campaign! Initiated to support not only the Downtown Barrie BIA member businesses, the campaign is also intended to provide support for local essential workers during the very challenging and ever-changing COVID-19 pandemic.
The Downtown Barrie (BIA) is acting as the conduit between the donors who want to support their local Barrie community, charity or organization of their choice and the Downtown Barrie (BIA) member businesses who can provide lunches, dinners, gift baskets and more to the essential workers at the chosen organization.
So, exactly who is the Downtown Hero? The answer is simple: everyone involved in the Downtown Heroes campaign gets a turn wearing the Downtown Heroes cape. First is the donor who provides the funds to support local businesses. Next to don the cape are the local businesses who package the meals or gift boxes for the essential workers. And then there are the essential workers who have been wearing their capes since the beginning of the pandemic.
