Grab your skates and head to Heritage Park! The pond in front of the gazebo has turned into a perfect skating rink. Every Saturday, staff members of the City of Barrie will be stoking the fire at the cozy fire pit with comfy Muskoka chairs while you skate your heart away! Skating is free and you can head on out any day and any time during the week.

“This is fantastic, to essentially have a 'country cottage skating pond' in an urban downtown setting right beside our frozen Kempenfelt Bay and within the downtown so that you can grab a hot chocolate or coffee and enjoy some family and friends time is absolutely awesome,” said Craig Stevens, Managing Director of the Downtown Barrie Business Association (BIA).
