Dunlop Street Becomes Loading Only Zones for Curbside Pickup

On Tuesday, May 12, the City of Barrie designated all on-street parking spaces along Dunlop Street from Poyntz Street to Toronto Street as “loading only zones” under the Traffic By-law. This change limits parking to standing for 10 minutes or less and will help maintain traffic flow in the area. The change is in effect until further notice. Keep a look out for signage that will be installed to help direct visitors to downtown Barrie.

The Province of Ontario announced that all retail stores with a street entrance can provide curbside pickup and delivery as of May 11. Businesses must continue to follow the City’s COVID-19 Emergency Measures By-law​ and ensure all customers maintain a physical distance of at least 2 metres from anyone outside of their business while conducting pickups.
