Description

All candidates who meet the minimum standard set by the City of Barrie will be invited to participate as an Emerging Musician, regardless of age. Candidates ages 16 - 30 years of age may be considered for paid employment in the Summer Emerging Musicians program. The OMCI Summer Emerging Artists Program provides high-quality early work experiences for youth in Simcoe County. Our program provides regular music industry training and skill development, performance and artist development opportunities. Emerging Artists perform in the community supporting festivals and events, busking and helping to animate the communities they serve.

Interested in performing as a musician?
Emerging Musicians - all ages.
Emerging Artists - 16 - 30 years of age.

Participants will be invited to perform one or two songs for the artistic jury.
