Noella Festival Tree Lot Raises $3000 for Hospice Simcoe

Supporting local is always important, but never has it been so vital to the community than now. The Downtown Barrie Business Association (BIA) would like to thank everyone who came downtown, shopped local, bought a tree or wreath and supported Hospice Simcoe. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, this was the most successful year of tree sales at the Noella Festival Tree & Wreath Lot!

People from all over came to downtown Barrie in the spirit of supporting local and supporting Hospice Simcoe. Scheduled Saturdays from November 28th until December 12th with pop-ups from December 15th through to December 18th, the Noella Festival Tree & Wreath Lot was set up in the heart of our community at Meridian Place.

On Friday, December 18th, together with this year’s tree lot sponsors, Dr. Brad Dibble and Katherine Elphick, and Arnott Construction who loaned their fencing to the tree lot, the Downtown Barrie Business Association (BIA) presented Hospice Simcoe with $3000.

Hospice Simcoe serves our community in remarkable ways. “Hospice palliative care is aimed at relieving suffering and improving the quality of life for persons who are living with, or dying from, advanced illness or are bereaved. This care includes pain and symptom management in conjunction with social, psychological, spiritual and practical support.”
