The BIA's Downtown Heroes Campaign is Feeling the Love

Support for the Downtown Heroes campaign continues to come in and the Downtown Barrie BIA is feeling the love!

A sincere thank you goes out to the Peacock family for their generous support for our downtown and local community. Their donation contributed to lunches for the essential workers at the local IOOF Seniors Home prepared by Downtown Barrie’s Grillicious Gourmet Tap & Grill, The WORKS Gourmet Burger Bistro, Philthy Philly’s Cheesesteaks & Poutinerie, Skewers Korean Style and the Lazy Tulip Cafe.

Initiated to support not only the Downtown Barrie BIA member businesses, the campaign is also intended to provide support to local essential workers during the very challenging and ever-changing COVID-19 pandemic.

To date, the Downtown Heroes campaign has received $2000 which has been translated into 200 individually packaged lunches prepared by Downtown Barrie (BIA) member businesses for essential workers within our community.

If you would like to contribute to the Downtown Heroes campaign, please reach out to the Downtown Barrie (BIA). Gift boxes and meals can be prepared for the organization or charity of the donor’s choice while the support for our downtown community makes our downtown stronger. Thank all those who have helped share the message on the importance of supporting local.

The health and well-being of our community is our number one priority and we encourage you to stay informed by regularly reviewing credible information on the Ontario government's dedicated COVID-19 webpage: www.ontario.ca/page/2019-novel-coronavirus#section-11.
