Barrie’s Summer Event Season Kicks Off this Weekend!

Barrie, ON – Look up, look way up, high in the sky this weekend will be an air spectacle like never before, but it doesn’t end there, the ground will be bustling with activities and performances as the kick off to the summer season starts with Barrie’s Air Show along our waterfront over Kempenfelt Bay and in Downtown Barrie.
Teaming up, the City of Barrie and the Downtown Barrie BIA has curated an exciting lineup of activities and
performances for the whole weekend all presented by Pratt Homes.

FIRST EVER!
A magical Drone Show over Kempenfelt Bay. Over 200 drones will be choreographed as an immersive performance
40 feet over Kempenfelt Bay. It will be best viewed along the waterfront with Downtown Barrie being a central
viewing location. The performance will be based on the 100 years of the Canadian Air Force that will mesmerise
your eyes.

WEEKEND SCHEDULE
Friday June 14:
8:00 pm Opening Ceremonies at Meridian Place
8:15 pm Live Music! Daniel Romano’s Outfit at Meridian Place Stage
10:00 pm Artistic Drone Show Performance over Kempenfelt Bay

Saturday June 15:
10:00 am – 5:00 pm Open Air Dunlop Air Show kicks off – a full day of showcasing street performers, interactive art
activities, military displays, local vendors, with restaurant patios and downtown businesses lining the street.
1:00pm – 4:00pm Air Show over Kempenfelt Bay, presented by Pratt Homes

4:00pm – 5:00pm Live Music! Base Border Volunteer Band at Meridian Place
8:30pm – 9:30pm Air Show Pilots and Support Crew Meet & Greet at Meridian Place
9:30pm – 11:00pm Outdoor Movie! Memphis Belle (1990) at Meridian Place

Sunday June 16:
