Downtown Barrie’s Hot Cocoa Trail in Support of Seasons Centre for Grieving Children

Invitation to Presser: Wednesday, January 29th at 3:00pm at Homestead Artisan Bakery (80 Dunlop St E)

The Hot Cocoa Trail is back in Downtown Barrie! Join the Downtown Barrie Business Association (BIA) in kicking off this event at Homestead Artisan Bakery (80 Dunlop Street East) on Wednesday, January 29th at 3:00pm.

This year, the Downtown Barrie Business Association (BIA) is inviting the public to warm up their hearts and souls by following along the Hot Cocoa Trail every weekend in February. With over 15 unique takes on the traditional winter favourite, the Trail provides a fun winter activity as well as an opportunity to support Seasons Centre for Grieving Children.

Seasons Centre offers “…peer to peer support groups in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory, safe, home like atmosphere for children, teens, young adults and caregivers grieving the terminal illness or death of a loved one; supporting them as they adjust emotionally to regenerate a sense of self and reconstruct their world.”

One of the stops along the Hot Cocoa Trail that’s slightly different than the rest and can be enjoyed by all the adults is at Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery & Tap Room. For every bottle of their Ginger Belle beer purchased to take home any day during the entire month of February, $2.00 will be donated to Seasons Centre.

As a bonus, for every purchase of a signature Hot Cocoa Trail beverage, participants can fill out a ballot and enter to win one of five Hot Cocoa Trail vouchers.

Join us on Wednesday, January 29th at 3:00pm at Homestead Artisan Bakery and help us spread the word on the Hot Cocoa Trail and supporting local! See you there!
