Troubadour Festival Summer Finale is Here!

Barrie, ON – Summer isn’t over yet! Downtown Barrie is set to go out with a bang as the Troubadour Festival finale takes over Meridian Place on Saturday, September 6. With a full day of arts, music, and community fun, the celebration ends on a high note with headliner Brett Kissel and a stellar Local Opener Showcase. Bring the family, grab your friends, and celebrate one last summer night under the stars in Downtown Barrie.

Event Itinerary – Saturday, September 6

10:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Troubadour Culture Crawl
Kick off the day with creativity and discovery. Explore 20+ artisan vendors, makers, and local creators spread through Meridian Place and a pedestrian-friendly Dunlop Street. Many vendors will feature interactive activities, giving visitors the chance to create and take home something unique.

6:00 PM – 8:15 PM | Local Opener Showcase
Three outstanding local performers take the stage to set the tone for an incredible night of music.

  • 6:00 PM – Johnny Anderson
    Singer-songwriter from Barrie who traded hockey and baseball for guitar and never looked back. Johnny’s heartfelt lyrics and storytelling connect with audiences in every performance.

     

  • 6:45 PM – Cam Galloway
    Muskoka’s rising country star with infectious energy, a distinctive voice, and catchy, unforgettable songs that have been turning heads across Ontario.

     

  • 7:30 PM – Dayna Reid
    Hailing from Elmvale, Ontario, Dayna brings powerhouse vocals, fearless stage presence, and one-of-a-kind lyricism. With her debut EP Back To The Trailer, a Top-40 single, national festival performances, and multiple CMAOntario Award nominations, Dayna Reid is quickly becoming one of Canada’s most exciting new country artists.

     

8:30 PM | Headliner: Brett Kissel
The night belongs to Brett Kissel — one of Canada’s most celebrated and beloved entertainers. With 23 CCMA Awards, 3 JUNO Awards, 19 Top-10 radio hits (including four #1s), and a reputation for high-energy, crowd-pleasing shows, Kissel is set to deliver a spectacular finale performance that will leave fans singing into the night.

A Summer to Remember

From Dean Brody and The 99s, to Hawksley Workman and now Brett Kissel, the Troubadour Festival Summer Concert Series has brought unforgettable live music to Downtown Barrie all season long. Paired with Open Air Dunlop’s signature events—air shows, car shows, food festivals, and more—this summer has been one of the biggest and most vibrant yet for the heart of the city.

“This summer has shown the power of community, music, and culture in bringing people together,” says Steve Ricalis, Chair of the Downtown Barrie BIA. “Ending with Brett Kissel on September 6 is the perfect way to celebrate the season — and to thank everyone who came downtown to make these events such a success.”
