This Saturday in Downtown Barrie: Cars, Music, & Feats of Strength A full day at Open Air Dunlop + Troubadour Festival
Thursday, July 24, 2025
Downtown Barrie is gearing up for an action-packed Saturday, July 26, filled with classic cars, live music, and community spirit. Anchoring the day’s excitement is the return of World’s Strongest Man, Mitchell Hooper, who will kick things off with a crowd-favourite feat of strength — pushing a VW Bus filled with food donations for the Barrie Food Bank.
The event begins at 10:00 AM sharp as Hooper takes to Dunlop Street, rallying the community to help fill the vehicle with non-perishable food items to support those in need.
“It’s incredible to see such strong community support in every sense of the word,” says Steve Ricalis, Chair of the Downtown Barrie BIA. “Mitchell Hooper’s VW Bus push is a symbol of what Downtown Barrie is all about — strength, unity, and giving back.”
