The Hot Cocoa Trail is Back!

Your toes are like ice. Your fingers are tingling. Frostbite threatens the tip of your nose and snowflakes rest on your lashes. You stomp the snow off your boots as you escape the icy temperatures to the relief and warm welcome of one of the cozy Downtown Barrie cafes, bistros or coffee shops. It’s February and you know that all this icy cold discomfort will soon fade once you have a Hot Cocoa Trail beverage in your hands.

Downtown Barrie is the place to warm up your heart and soul again this winter. The Hot Cocoa Trail is back and every weekend in February, you’re invited to enjoy over 20 signature beverages with your friends and family. Pepperminty, vegan, salty marshmallowy or just classically traditional, these incredible creations are truly delicious works of art.

This year, one of the stops along the Hot Cocoa Trail invites those 19+ to support The Camphill Foundation. Everyday throughout February, Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery & Tap Room will be featuring their bottles of Ginger Belle beer for sale with $2.00 of every purchase going toward The Camphill Foundation.

The Downtown Barrie Business Association (BIA) always draws attention to local charities and organizations with their Community Connected events. The Camphill Foundation is a huge support for our local community and deserves to be recognized. The foundation directs their “… activities towards serving children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities though education, social and vocational programs which address the human being in its wholeness of body soul and spirit. In addition, Camphill works to promote sound environmental stewardship and social resilience through the practice of Biodynamic farming and gardening.”
The love continues beyond February for five lucky winners. With each purchase of a signature Hot Cocoa Trail, participants can enter a ballot into a draw to win one of five Hot Cocoa Trail vouchers. Winners will enjoy up to 15 free hot beverages at select locations. Sounds delicious!
