Barrie, ON – It’s been years since Downtown Barrie has had a grocery store, but the wait is over! Kennedy’s Lakeside Grocery is officially opening its doors, bringing fresh, local, and convenient shopping right to the heart of downtown. This is a momentous occasion, as the last time downtown had a grocery store was when the IGA closed many years ago.

 

The local market is owned and operated by long-time Barrie residents Adam and Heather Kennedy. Heather has already established a strong Downtown presence opening Blueberry Moon and BBM Next Door for approximately 3 years now. Adam Kennedy, with over 20 years of experience on the management side of a grocery supplier, brings unparalleled knowledge and expertise to this exciting venture. The store will offer a truly unique shopping experience, including an on-site butcher, a red seal chef, and products sourced from local farmers, bakers and makers.

Farmers’ Market and other local producers.

● Business Hours are Monday – Saturday 8:30am – 6:30pm and  Sunday 9am – 4pm
