After recently celebrating their 20th anniversary and undergoing some renovations, Our House returns more alive and fresh than ever before. With everything from unique gifts, women’s and home accessories, Our House can inspire the inner decorator in all of us. Owners Wendy and Sandi take great pride in their accessorizing and believe a beautiful home makes all the difference.

Our House is owned by two sisters who are exceedingly passionate about what they do. When they talk about their store and their day-to-day lives you can see the pride on their faces – it’s a very welcoming impression you get. They were introduced to business Downtown Barrie when they were young and worked with their parents at their Dad’s store. Considering it a true blessing to be able to work side by side with people you admire and respect, the two decided they wanted to continue doing so as they got older. Wendy and Sandi opened up Our House with their mother in 1993. Although sometimes mixing business with family can be tricky and complicated, Wendy & Sandy love it and couldn’t imagine it any other way. Each piece found in Our House tells a unique and timeless story. Coming from all over the world, some are antique while some are shiny and new. The women travel together to gift shows and carefully select pieces that they themselves would like in their homes. Wendy and Sandi are always conscious of changing trends and styles and make a point to ensure their store reflects that as well. It is their mission to buy items that they feel connected to with the hope that their customer will feel a connection as well.

A successful 20-year business doesn’t come from lack of hard work though. Wendy and Sandi are fervently dedicated to ensuring every customer receives exceptional one on one service, with a welcoming hello and a friendly “see you later”.
