Barrie, ON – The countdown to one of Barrie’s most magical nights is on! Downtown Barrie is set to transform into a festive wonderland for the 2025 Noella Tree Lighting Celebration, taking place Saturday, November 15, from 3 PM to 8 PM at Meridian Place. Presented by the Downtown Barrie BIA, the celebration promises an unforgettable evening filled with live music, community spirit, and spectacular holiday sights.

COMMUNITY PARTNERS BRING THE HOLIDAY WARMTH:

The Downtown Barrie BIA is proud to celebrate the generous support of local partners, making this year’s celebration even more special:

 – Tim Hortons, through its local franchise owners, will be serving free hot chocolate to attendees with a non-perishable food donation to the Barrie Food Bank or a toy donation to the Rock 95/KoolFM Toy Drive. Tim Hortons is also sponsoring this year’s free Kids’ Inflatables, ensuring fun for the whole family.

 – The Kiwanis Club of Barrie is supporting the Kids’ Warming Tent, where families can enjoy art activities hosted by local artists, create handmade ornaments to decorate the Festive Tree in Meridian Place, and take part in interactive crafts and holiday fun.

These partnerships embody the true spirit of the season — community, generosity, and togetherness — bringing warmth and joy to the heart of Downtown Barrie.

LIVE MUSIC LINEUP ANNOUNCED:

Headlining the event is Shake Your Money Maker – The Black Crowes Tribute, a powerhouse band of local talent who will rock the Meridian Place stage at 6:30 PM with timeless hits like Jealous Again and She Talks to Angels.

The festivities begin at 3 PM with live performances from Burke Erwin, Sammy, and Francesca Panetta, followed by Choir Revolution, who will bring the Barrie Chamber of Commerce Santa Claus Parade into Downtown Barrie with festive sing-alongs and community spirit.

LIGHT UP THE NIGHT IN DOWNTOWN BARRIE:

As the Santa Claus Parade winds its way into Downtown Barrie, all eyes will turn to Meridian Place for the lighting of the Downtown Barrie Christmas Tree, followed by a dazzling fireworks display over Kempenfelt Bay and Heritage Park. The best viewing spot for this spectacular moment? Meridian Place, where Santa himself will help light up the night sky and kick off the holiday season in true Barrie style.

A WEEKEND OF COMMUNITY AND CELEBRATION:

The Noella Tree Lighting Celebration is presented in collaboration with the Barrie Chamber of Commerce Santa Claus Parade, the Rotary Club of Barrie’s Festival of Trees, and the City of Barrie’s fireworks and event support. Together, these events create a weekend filled with community, creativity, and holiday magic in the heart of Downtown Barrie.
