Barrie, ON – Downtown Barrie is turning up the volume this summer with Open Air Live Music, a signature part of the beloved Open Air Dunlop event series. This year’s lineup features top-tier Canadian talent and big summer energy with two must-see shows: country star Ryan Langdon on Canada Day and Shania Twink, the ultimate queer country cover band, on Saturday, July 12 during the Open Air Dunlop Butter Tart Festival. Admission is free. All are welcome.

Open Air Live Music kicks off at 6 PM, energizing summer evenings in Meridian Place with dynamic performances that keep the downtown vibe alive well into the night. These free concerts are part of the Downtown Barrie BIA’s commitment to delivering high-quality, inclusive, and accessible programming for locals and visitors alike.

From his country party anthems like “Lit In The Sticks” and “Crossfaded” to heartfelt new tracks inspired by fatherhood, Ryan Langdon brings a bold, high-energy performance that blends rock-country roots with a modern twist. With over 8 million global streams and four Top 40 Canadian Country radio hits, Langdon is no stranger to the spotlight—but now brings even more heart to the stage as a new dad and evolving artist.

🎤 Butter Tart Festival with Shania Twink – July 12 at 8:30 PM, Meridian Place

As the Open Air Dunlop Butter Tart Festival winds down, the music cranks up with Shania Twink, Toronto’s favourite queer country cover band. This all-star, all-LGBTQ+ band blends top-tier musicianship with irresistible charisma, covering Shania Twain, Tracy Chapman, Sheryl Crow, and more. Featuring members from Dwayne Gretzky, July Talk, and Bahamas, this act delivers a joyful, high-energy tribute to the icons of the ’90s and early 2000s—with a proudly inclusive twist.
