The Downtown Barrie Business Association (BIA) together with COPE Service Dogs are excited to kick off this year’s May Days!
May Days is a Community Connects event hosted by the Downtown Barrie Business Association (BIA) that spans the entire month of May. Part of May Days includes a promotional contest encouraging people to shop and dine Downtown. With every purchase, customers receive a ballot for a chance to win a $2500+ prize package of merchandise and gift certificates provided by participating downtown businesses. To increase their chances of winning, customers can purchase additional ballots at 3 for $5.00. All proceeds from additional ballot sales will be donated to this year’s charity, COPE Service Dogs.
COPE Service Dogs is an incredible organization that focuses primarily on aiding individuals with mobility issues. These amazing dogs also work with students, seniors and can even be found in dental offices, hospices, courtrooms and any other setting where a canine-human bond can be beneficial. The Downtown Barrie Business Association (BIA) is more than happy to be working with COPE Service Dogs this year.
What’s New in 2018? As part of May Days, the Downtown Barrie Business Association (BIA) is pleased to introduce Saturday Experiences at select locations. On each Saturday in May, visitors can attend workshops, clinics, demonstrations, product partnerships, fashion shows and more at participating businesses. Rack cards will be provided to the public and will outline the schedule for each Saturday Experience giving them another reason to shop Downtown Barrie this month!
